AFL Grand Final Same Game Multi of the Day – Friday September 23 – CODE Bet

The AFL Grand Final is upon us, so today’s CODE Bet Same Game Multi of the Day takes a look at some value in the fortunes of one of the game’s all time greats

When Patrick Dangerfield intimated to his then team, the Adelaide Crows, that he wished to return home to Victoria following the 2015 AFL season, ‘Danger’ was already one of the game’s best midfielders: a three-time All-Australian and superstar.

Once Danger made his way to the Cattery, though, he became an all-time great: going on to win a Brownlow, make a couple of Grand Finals (this will be his second) and stamp his name firmly on the list of best midfielders ever.

The only things missing on his resume?

A premiership medallion and a Norm Smith Medal.

If Danger wins a finally wins a flag this weekend with the Cats?

After 302 career games?

He’s in the pantheon of all timers.

They’d sing about ‘The Fairytale Of Moggs Creek’ for years.

So, how does it happen? With a value Same Game Multi.

Patrick Dangerfield – 20+ Disposals: $1.35

If there’s a player who loves playing a Final at the MCG, it’s Patrick Dangerfield. In his last 13 games at the ‘G Danger has gone for 25+ disposals in 11 of them.

His average in the home and away season this year sat just above 21, but he’s lifted it to 25 in Geelong’s two finals so far.

Sydney are a very different proposition than Brisbane, so value lies in going with the 20+.

Patrick Dangerfield – any time goal scorer: $1.80

Danger has booted 2+ goals three of the last four times he’s gone up against Sydney.

He had two last week, but again, Sydney aren’t Brisbane, plus it was the first time all season he’d booted multiple majors. Let’s see him just get one on the big day.

Patrick Dangerfield – Norm Smith Medal Winner: $7

Last week against the Lions, Dangerfield was in rare form, tearing the heart out of the Brisbane from the get-go with 28 disposals and two goals.

If he’s racking up disposals, hitting the scoreboard and having the impact he did last week AND put Geelong in a position to win?

It’d be a cruel voter who would deny Danger his fairytale.

Geelong to Win: $1.50

If Danger’s won the Norm Smith, it feels safe to say that the Cats have won.
