The Formie Theater projector has made its way into the market, providing another ultra short throw (UST) projector sporting a 4K resolution and some interesting specs. Not only that, but it comes with a built-in Bowers & Wilkins speaker.
UST projectors continue to rise in popularity due to the ease of placement. You no longer have to run an HDMI cable all around the room or up through the roof to get the best possible projector placement. Instead, simply place it right under the screen. Everything is closely connected just like a TV.
In this case, not only do you get an easy-to-place projector, but one that is trying to push the limits by including ALPD 4.0 RGB+ laser technology, 4K, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision, BT.2020, Android TV 11.0 (with Google Assistant), low latency, 2800 lumens, and hi-res sound. With the ability to push up to a 150″ image (80″ to 150″).
So not only does it have Android built-in for voice control and all of your favorite streaming solutions (except for Netflix, as for some reasons, most of these Android projectors lack Netflix), but it features some familiar technology partners that we are big fans of (B&W). Did we mention B&W sound?
The projector is already on the market via certain retailers (we have included some links/buttons below) and its MSRP is $3,499 (so it is made for select budgets).
We can’t really judge how good the projector is ourselves since we haven’t seen it just yet. However, the specs look pretty good on paper (you can see a more detailed list of specs below). If we learn anything further about it, we will make sure to share.
