After working with Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s Lost, Tollywood’s director-actor Arindam Sil is geared up to work in a Netflix original film, Afghani Snow. Produced by Karnesh Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz, the film features Tripti Dimri and Vijay Varma. It will be directed by Mai: A Mother’s Rage fame Anshai Lal. The shooting will take place in Mumbai, Delhi, and Turkey and will commence in November.

Arindam will be seen as a DCP. “As per my knowledge, I will be interacting more with a young officer, played by Tripti. My character is a level headed officer. I am looking forward to it,” he told OTTplay.

Arindam started his career in the Bengali film industry as an actor. After stepping into the director’s role, the volume of his acting has gone down. Recently, he has played an important character in his Tirandaj Shabor. His performance garnered appreciation. However, by his admission, Arindam is choosy when it comes to acting. “When I direct, the tempo of the set remains under my control. When I act on other projects, that becomes difficult. Now, I am a disciplined man and I like to work in a professional setup. I don’t want to deal with mayhem on the set,” he told us, adding, “I worked in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s Lost and he and his team really liked my performance. I am looking forward to this movie as well.”

Arindam has just wrapped Shabash Feluda – a Zee5 web series based on Satyajit Ray’s iconic sleuth. In the series, Parambrata Chatterjee will be seen as Feluda and Rwitobroto Mukherjee as Topshe. As per sources, he’s traveling to Turkey. After his return, he will be busy completing his next, Iskaboner Bibi. He is scheduled to start a new web series after that, followed by Mitin Mashi. He will start his first series tie-up with Hoichoi with Troilokyo. However, that will start in 2023.
