When travelling, there are a few things we all wish we had.
Whether it’s extra leg room, the aisle seat or window seat, or a specific neck pillow, there are things that can simply make a flight a bit more comfortable and enjoyable. (Let’s be honest, who really enjoys sitting in between two strangers for up to 14 hours?)
One unhappy traveler has shared their frustration on Reddit after finding the exit seat they had paid extra for came with a few complications.

Having paid for priority boarding to pick a specific seat with more leg room, the passenger shared a picture of the extra space they didn’t get to use because the person sitting in front placed all their belongings on the floor – where the passengers’ feet were supposed to go.
The Reddit user captioned the post, “Splurged for priority boarding to get the exit row since I’ve been suffering through a stomach bug this trip, then this happens…”
The passenger clarified in comments that he didn’t have a stomach bug, but chronic gastrointestinal issues that mimicked the symptoms every now and then.
This was in response to users commenting that if they had a ‘stomach bug’ they would have opted for the aisle seat, and we all know why.

“You paid for the leg room she needs to move her things,” one commenter wrote.
The traveler responded, saying, “The purse made a nice footrest while I was napping.”
Another user sympathized with the traveler after other users questioned why they would choose a window seat if they weren’t well.
“I think his intention was to stretch out his legs to relieve the pressure on his stomach and the bag is in his way,” they wrote.
“I personally would stretch my legs out near the bag and let her decide if that makes her uncomfortable.”
Perhaps next time this passenger flies, they might opt for the aisle seat after all.
